However, we're constantly surprised when we hear reports, such as those that Software Advice shared with us in our recent Payroll tech trends Blog, about the continued reliance on Excel amongst HR Professionals. According to their study many HR Professionals are still recruiting for candidates with advanced Excel skills. This implies that many organisations are still running their HR procedures and processes off spreadsheets. Not only is this inefficient, but it really isn't cost effective at all.
