An IDC report predicted that organisations will go on an accelerated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) shopping spree and make over $25 billion SaaS acquisitions between November 2012 – July 2014. With the significant financial benefits that SaaS solutions offer, the above numbers are not surprising.

It is therefore not surprising when Gartner predicts that the global SaaS market will grow from $13.5 billion in 2011 into a $32 billion industry by 2016 and Forrester Research claims that more HR managers tend to adopt cloud-based products almost exclusively.

Over the past 12 years I have done over 600 software presentations to HR professionals in my roles of Sales Director and Founder. That’s over 600 hours of meetings. During this time it became very clear to me that there were some fundamental issues causing frustration and disillusionment for many HR professionals. Employee Life-Cycle management was a major headache.
